RE: Danball Senki
Just updated to SVN 9.8-1309-g0fee05d from 9.8-646-gd2855ad. After regular massive improvements to accuracy in SVNs after 9.8, something between these two versions broke Boost massively.
9.8-646-gd2855ad is playable, but has graphical glitches after using an attack function in battle, in shops the field turns black instead of turning fuzzy like on a real PSP (though the menus are still visible and usable) and if pausing, instead of the same effect that happens in the shop menu, all character models vanish (related to earlier problems with character models?) and the screen will dim slightly. SVN 9.8-1309-g0fee05d will crash if Any battle is entered, regardless of type (single, multi, random, on field or challenge) The shop is entered The menu is entered. This one (but not the others) will sometimes warn "ThreadQueueList:Queue should already be linked up" with a yes/no prompt (either of which, as does closing it, fully crashes the emulator to standard windows prompt) |

RE: Danball Senki
Do you have a compiler? It'd be great to get a stacktrace of any crashes you're getting.
Otherwise, can you test more versions in between (go by halves, it's the provably fastest way) and find the first version that had these crashing problems and the last one that didn't? Also, if you disable "simulate block transfers" in the settings, do the crashes go away? -[Unknown] |

RE: Danball Senki
Where's simulate block transfers under?
edit: Found it. Seems to stop the battle, menu and shop crashes. The broken HP bars after using an attack function seems to have been fixed too (will need further testing). Seems to be a new addition. Why was an explicitly unfinished option enabled by default? |

RE: Danball Senki
Well, because it fixes graphical effects in a signficant number of games. I don't know why it would be causing crashes in that game though. You are using a git build, expect some things to be enabled that aren't finished (although we will likely enable this in the upcoming release.)
Actually, the menus/etc. are exactly the types of things it fixed in most games (e.g. Trails in the Sky), which is why I thought it might be related. It's actually possible it's crashing due to some problem in your video card driver. Do you have the latest one installed? And, what video card do you have? Does anyone else experience crashes in this game with "simulate block transfers" enabled? -[Unknown] |

RE: Danball Senki
Updated my drivers (which weren't massively out of date but not the latest) on my card (HD7900 series, I could fetch the exact model number, but I don't think it matters) and rebooted, no fix. I'll try it on another computer I have access to tomorrow.
