help new versions of PPSSPP not work

I do not know what's going on but no new version of PPSSPP works for me

I played a long time with older versions of PPSSPP

Recently I decided to download the new versions but none works

I click to start the emulator and NOTHING happens

Hi there,
Can you give us more information please.........
As in which system you are trying to run the emulator on?
Which version of PPSSPP are you using?
And what spec's you are using as in which Windows version or Android device.
what the CPU & GPU are?
Have you upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 or 8.1, maybe the reason.
Have you upgraded your graphics drivers for your particular card, does going back to earlier version solve it.
Have you re-formatted your PC back to basics, but needs to be updated by Windows update.
Are you using the wrong version of PPSSPP, as you may have a 32 bit (x86) CPU, but are trying to use 64 bit version.

Hope this helps in solving your problem, if not I am sure one of the Pro's on here will get to the bottom of the problem for you.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 430
Intel® Core™ i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bits

I found some old versions here on my pc
some of 0.9.5 and 0.9.6 works
starting from 0.9.7 does not work

what can be?

Ah you say this started happening from 0.9.7, well this maybe the answer then download this on your machine: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...x?id=40784
Download that & install it, then retry, as from 0.9.7 you require these files / Program.
Hope that cures your problem my friend.

hey could you help me too? The ppsspp wont start. it didnt even open the application, yet the 0.9.6 worked. I have updated the Visual C++.
My spec are AMD a8 5550 @ 2,1 ghz , radeon 8570m.

Win 7 ultimate x86, yep, latest driver already installed. non stable version of ppsspp doesnt work. The ppsspp version which is working now is ppsspp-v0.9.6-342-gcb28d33-windows-amd64. The stable versions of 0.9.7 and 0.9.8 are working fine.

Okay, i see you have only used offical releases, have you tried the Beta latest builds, which is at the moment v0.9.8-293-g719a913.

So which is it, that you use 32 bit or 64 bit (32 bit should be the version you are using.)

eh, my bad. Mistyped information. I have windows 64 bit

I also used beta build in my previous laptop.

now it works like charm after I updated the net framework security 4.5.1 from windows thanks for trying to help maybe anyone with similar problem should try updating the net framework.
