I thought, "Why doesn't the registration have a Captcha to keep away the endless spambots?" Then I thought, "Wait. These guys probably thought of that already." So I'm still wondering why there is no Captcha.

Well, only Henrik can make changes to the site, and he's been busy, so all we can do is wait for an anti-spambot solution. Also, captchas are pretty easily defeated by spambots, so that alone won't stop them.

How about having a set of 3 random questions, IE......What color is a banana? and you have multiple choice answers (Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink, White, Purple), that only a human would be able to answer correctly, unless its lucky enough to answer all questions in the right order, that should stop most Spambots.
