PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
Emu crashes when select any iso on intel Gma x3100/965 (partial support OpenGL 2.0).
The emulator does not work exactly from this version v0.6-901-gbc15617: Make un-buffered rendering much smarter, removing flicker. This turns it into a very viable option for many games. You do lose some FX but it can as a result even be used as a workaround for themassive glow in Wipeout... could be arranged? or I'm forgetting to play on my computer? PD: last version that works for me is v0.6-900-gfa11e49 PD2: To make it work I have not always select "Buffered Rendering" |

RE: PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
It seems several people have problems with unbuffered rendering now. I guess I will have to look at it, probably we bind some invalid FBO or something...

RE: PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
Maybe if you install custom drivers, buffered rendering will work, because the official drivers for the GMA graphics cards are so badly made that they use way less power than what they can do

RE: PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
oh ok, I just told because I know that graphics card very well (I have a computer that has it). You'll get a better performance with the custom drivers tho so that's at least a good thing

RE: PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
If PPSSPP not support OpenGL 2.0 GPUs for PC, as it support GPUs Android? Or is the Intel GPUs when not support PPSSPP?
I have GMA 3100, for me play PCSX2, I use Directx. Please, for PPSSPP have more GPUs compatible, add support for DirectX Sorry my English Phones: Poco F3 8GB/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636) PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM DDR4 3600MHz / NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB / Windows 10 Pro |

RE: PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
had try ppsspp-v0.6-899-g06bd584-windows-x86 and ppsspp-v0.6-1069-g03e8ee3-windows-x86 on my laptop, no working unselected buffered rendering and hardware transform,
Ran under windows XP, chipset is 945gm with official intel driver, the emulator started but crashed when loaded with any iso of psp games, no logs, nothing... I had try to load the iso of project diva 2nd... |

RE: PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
I do suspect that OpenGL 2.0 on desktop is not sufficient. The card I use is OpenGL 3.x and works fine.
That said, my understanding is that Intel cards don't support OpenGL 2.0 well, anyway. Most likely the best solution for them is a DirectX driver, and you're welcome to start writing one if you're interested. But it may be better to wait until we get the GLES driver more accurate. -[Unknown] |

I just found the program just now, and there are so many revision in such short time. |

RE: PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
Yes, we're constantly improving it. More games are becoming compatible all the time and we're also constantly improving performance. There are major changes between 0.5 and 0.6, and also major changes between 0.6 and 0.7 (not yet released.) There are more major changes to come, too.

RE: PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
Has been 2 months and problem still there
I don't know, but due the high problems found with OpenGL will be nice if someone works on a video plugin for DirectX on Windows platforms. I don't do it myself cause i don't know how to and i am not sure if it is possible, but i guess it is. I add two logs where games don't even start because the emu crash. RE: PPSSPP Crashes on Intel GMA 965
Where can I find the documentations for the emulator, and I didn't know there is 0.7 version planned release, does it code like dolphin emulator in the graphic emulation?

I don't know much about Dolphin but it's probably not hugely different. -[Unknown] |
