If I connect a USB Joystick on any Smartphone / Tablet that has USB support, I can use it without PPSSPP application to configure it?

No at the moment, you have to use GameKeyBoard app for mapping the buttons to Xperia Play buttons, without. you configurate it you just can use the D-Pad and joystick.

RE: Joystick USB in Android
I think you don't need root access to use the application, just for some funtions, that you really don't need.
It's a little hard to understand the program but you can get use to it quickly, and is a paid app. A quick guide: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, Settings -> Quick Settings-> BT Controller to Xperia Play. After this back -> customize Gamepad, and pres te buton of the virtual key and a menu appear change the input press the phisycal key and repeat this with the 4-6 button. Once you make sure that it works, return to settings and save the profile. |

RE: Joystick USB in Android
Could be, yesterday I deny root access to the aplication and it doesn't work.
Furthermore I just can config both the Joystick and the D-Pad like the same thing (D-pad of psp) not like the joystick of the psp |

In a future there will be.
It isn't a high priority feature. I wish they include it soon. |
