Is it me or does the emulator lack sound? Some games sound like they try to make sound but fail.

There are several types of sound files in psp games. PPSSPP currently only decides one of those sound file formats.

Well I guess its safe to assume that once sound is perfected the speed will slow.

This one decodes the audio that it's designed to decode like mp3,wav,flac,aac,ogg, not anything you'll put it to.

If/when we find a solution to decode Atrac3Plus, I don't expect it to be very CPU intensive, speed loss should be minimal.
