Nope, we just increase numbers for the heck of it Smile

By the way, are you able to grab the android log from your device? It should say what EGL config it chose I think. Otherwise I can give you a special build.

Not sure if it's the best but this tutorial seems to explain it:

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
Results for Ridge Racer 2 on HTC Flyer (Snapdragon S2 1.5 GhZ + Adreno 205). Non-buffered rendering, framescip 2, other options are default. PPSSPP build 0.9.1-2301.

Without Disable Alpha Test option - from 16 to 19 fps.
With Disable Alpha Test - 20 fps all time.

Decreasing resolution doesn't affect speed at all.

With buffered rendering (no speed hacks) Ridge Racer runs at 7-10 fps.

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
im trying to pinpoint the cause of slowdown in speed, without hacks.. only pure emulation..
so i dont use alpha test, (1st, its for powervr only right? 2nd, it can cause glitches.)

Ok, you can ignore speedhack info. I have updated my previous post with more info that might be usefull.

Upd:
Compared build 1452 with latest 2301. Ridge Racer, HTC Flyer, frameskip 2, non-buffered, no speedhacks:

1452 - 17-19 fps
2103 - 15-17 fps

@Lizzard
so , you experienced slowdown too on latest builds? and 1452 is faster?

@ [Unknown] & xsacha

while im waiting for your reply,
i got the log using aLogcat android app.
but it seems that it logs the whole system process, not only ppsspp. take a look at these..
maybe you'll find there what u told me.

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
i dont know if this will help you guys. i got my note 3 (snapdragon version - n9005, mj1 firmware(latest update from my country), stock rom and kernel) last 2 weeks and this is the result of my finding. but the finding is tested on older build .

if this finding can help, i will try to test more games and of course with the latest build. Smile

p/s : i will provide some screenshot later or maybe video (until i root my device -> screencast Big Grin )

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
I recommend to buy " system monitor " for monitoring CPU usage.
When tried SOCOM Fireteam Bravo, CPU shows usage at 1.5Ghz on all cores only around 45-65%.
But overlocking CPU by every 100Mhz increase always 1 to 2fps, but CPU cores usage still hovering around 45-65%.

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
Ok, tested the new release, things got worse actually, Soul Calibur now runs at half speed even with frameskip. Sound is glitchy as hell, seems like that even with frameskip it cant keep playing at usual speed.

Note that my N7is overclocked at 1.8 on all cores, with Performance governor. So the usage/speed for each core is out of question. It simply doesnt run well at all.
