How do I map controls using a joystick?
New one here.
I'm using PPSSPP v0.9.1 on Windows. So, when I try to map a button (like x,o) using my joystick,it doesn't do anything at all. It's from Game Settings > Controls > Controls Mapping right? I can't map any buttons from my joystick. But when I map a button using a keyboard, it works. So, is my joystick is broken (works fine on other emus)? Or PPSSPP doesn't support it yet? Waiting for an answer |

RE: How do I map controls using a joystick?
What "joystick" would that be? My gamepad has xinput and dinput, both modes work just fine, in fact if not for right analog I don't even have to configure it since by default it's already configured for pads using those input modes. If nothing happens when you try to map your device it probably is already mapped with same button.

Have you checked to make sure your game controller is listed as the one to use with "legacy" applications/games?

It worked on my usb gamepad, but now I'm using another gamepad (PS2 controller using converter). I went to the settings again, and it didn't work. (It has 2 slots) Any advice? |

RE: How do I map controls using a joystick?
Make sure that you can see your gamepad in the control panel under devices and printer and test it, also you have to wait for the drivers of your gamepad is installed before starting PPSSPP, so wait for a few seconds after you connect your gamedpad to a usb portif you don't want to test it then run PPSSPP

It has to slots so I'm confused a bit. |
