RE: Dead or Alive Paradise
Henrik pushed a new commit which sets the thread data to 0 by default, so the game should now boot and look mostly correct without the wireframe look. Make sure you have threaded I/O on. There's one catch, however: the characters' shadows in VENUS CLIP mode are wrong/they stretch to the limbs for some reason.

RE: Dead or Alive Paradise
The game should at least be moved to ingame or even playable now, since it can properly booted up and played by any latest buildbot build since the commits were merged into master.

Can't access any photo viewer modes. You can take pictures, but you can't view them. (Screenshot API not implemented). Solution:- Press F12 to take your own screenshots. :3 2. BGM crackling/stuttery issues. (MP3 implementation not perfect). Solution:- Mute the BGM and play your own soundtrack in the background for now. 3. Character shadow issues. This is quite a hard one to fix. Solution:- None at the moment. Pentium D 820 @ 2.8 GHz stock, NVIDIA 7600 GT,1 GB RAM, Windows XP. |

RE: Dead or Alive Paradise
I'd just like to add another issue that the game as at the moment.
The game has a tendency to hang when you look through your closet in your hotel, especially when your cursor hovers over an item. Loading the picture of said item causes the game to hang, and the emulator to lock up with 60-70% CPU usage on my Core 2 Duo laptop. It happens at random, but has a higher tendency to occur if you've just stored a lot of items into the closet. RE: Dead or Alive Paradise
If anybody's still interested in running this game on Android, try this build:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/897003/ppsspp.apk I managed to get 16-20 fps on my SGS1Advanced (i9070) where it used to get 2-5 by modifying sceMp3.cpp (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/897003/sceMp3.cpp). Kinda slow, but at least it's bearable now. People with better phones will probably be near full speed. I haven't tested this with other games yet. [edit] After some experimentation, I'm getting 22-28fps ingame (single model scenes / venus clip) with the following settings: mode: non-buffered rendering no frameskip hardware transform vertex cache mipmapping fast memory dynarec multithreaded i/o on thread Framerate drops to 17-20 during volleyball (4 models). |

The removal of error logging for the debug log spam for the UNIMPL MP3 errors? If that was the case, you could've just disabled logging all together by heading to the Developer Tools option in System Settings, and unticking the Enable Debug Logging option there. Log spam gone. Just tick "I/O on Thread (experimental)" in the System Settings Menu in the UI and the game should start up right away. Other settings can be set to default. Or if you insist, the only portion of the ini file that needs to be changed is this:- Code: [CPU] PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |
