RE: it will work with 1.0 ghz quad core in android
I think GS2 GPU isn't the Mali 400MP4, is the 400MP2. The MP4 mean 4 cores, and the GS2 CPU is dual-core.
Phones: Poco F3 8GB/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636) PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM DDR4 3600MHz / NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB / Windows 10 Pro |

the processor is dual-core, the gpu itself should be quad-core i.e. 4 cores,
if the wiki info is correct, of course Samsung Captivate, Android 2.3.5 SAUROM, Corn Kernel v701 Fly Evo Chic 3, Android 4.4.2 Stock, improved stock kernel |

Its not always about at what frequency CPU cores runs.
Fine example can be seen here http://www.allwinnertech.com/en/awt/news...07-01.html (A31/A31S have default 1Ghz on CPU cores) |

RE: it will work with 1.0 ghz quad core in android
My Smartphone have a ARM Cortex-A5 800 MHz CPU (1 core)
Many games runs between 40~60% speed (With frameskip 2 and cpu unlock 60) And one game runs between 60~70 % speed (With frameskip 4 and cpu unlock 60) It's not fast but it's okay (If you want more details just ask me) And with 1 GHz CPU you get certainly more speed. Smartphone : -> Sony Xperia Tipo (Android 4.0.4) CPU - ARM Cortex-A5 800 MHz / GPU - Adreno 200 RAM - 404 MB PC : OS - Windows 8 / CPU - Intel Core i3-3220 3.30 GHz GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 / RAM - 4,00 GB |

Hm, I hate the Framskiping, but I think if I enable, I'll get 80-100% in all games.

RE: it will work with 1.0 ghz quad core in android
hmm... I have a dual core 1ghz CPU A5, adreno 203... and only game I get full speed even using frameskipp 1 is mk unchained??
@superearth958: what GPU do you have? Maybe I'm using wrong settings Or the GPU sucks.. Anyway I have faith in these devs for current devices. If I never attain full speed o well tuff sh*t.. I won't upgrade my current phone just to play ppsspp... but at least if I need an upgrade in future ppsspp is there I've donated twice.. so I feel I've done my part. Although I'll help anyway I can. I hear a lot of people on here sayin.. what phone should I get for full speed ppsspp etc....s3/s4.. I say, share the wealth.lol S TO DA G |

RE: it will work with 1.0 ghz quad core in android
the software optimization is crucial here (the PPSSPP itself), then comes the hardware to back it up, and again some hardware, even the best one, can be so poorly optimized so as the less powerful hardware will run better, also ICS and JB have better graphics drivers so they're are optimized better and should run PPSSPP faster without hardware failures (at least for me)
So to know which hardware is better optimized we should run tests on a single game (in specific circumstances, in game I mean), and post our results, but that is better to do when the emu is more or less stabe (v 1.0 for example) Samsung Captivate, Android 2.3.5 SAUROM, Corn Kernel v701 Fly Evo Chic 3, Android 4.4.2 Stock, improved stock kernel |

RE: it will work with 1.0 ghz quad core in android
just curious.. whats happening at 1.0?
I keep hearing people saying " nearly at 1.0" whats so different about that than any other version? If its a dumb question bare in mind this is the first emu I've followed from the start Before anyone dives in... I'm not askin about what will be implemented but why people keep talking about 1.0. RE: it will work with 1.0 ghz quad core in android
barely i think not many thing improved especially speed, optimization is not easy at all,i guess not many suprise in v1.0,to think ppsspp has many option now but it still in halfways, dualcore support now has been implement, but rather single.core device will struggle a bit, anyways a BIG boost might come or not,to think my device is low end single core which undoubtly struggle to achieve full speed, either way it's still nice to have new thing in future update(i like tweaking a lot),some of my games is playable very nice
p/s:i don't like frameskip=,= my sub weapon: xperia mini hd 1ghz scorpion single core not clocked my ultimate weapon acer(laptop) 2.2ghz ?core intel media accelarator 3000 i'm a tester, but not as good as other, please be kind with me,haha. |

RE: it will work with 1.0 ghz quad core in android
Me too although I have no choice until the emu is playable without frameskipp..
I'm trying not to download anymore builds until 1.0.. so I can appreciate it more, not that I don't already. Edit: frameskipp is good if the game already runs about 60/70 percent without it...ie mk unchained without frameskipp runs at 65/70 for me... so with frameskipp 1 I get full speed and its smooth as butter.. In all, if most games on android get about 60% speed then that would be fantastic.. as frameskipp then is barely noticeable.. I would be happy with that S TO DA G |

RE: it will work with 1.0 ghz quad core in android
I hink the v1.0 just mean a bit more stability, not is the perfect version. The better results come after this version, when the emulator is stable, is more easy to apply new options.
