RE: A comprehensive list of games that are only problematic on AMD/ATI graphics cards
Bumped to account for the addition of the "Logging" option in PPSSPP circa v0.8.1-878-gccb76a5
(Disabling Logging grants a minor to significant performance boost in games with excessive error log spam) PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

This is a reasonable request, but will not be seen by the devs since it's not located in the right thread and is also off topic for this thread discussing AMD/ATI cards. Please move this post to the feature request thread here:- http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3252 or make a new one. Thanks for your time. EDIT:- I see you've already opened a thread for this issue here. You don't have to keep on spamming it on the forums, the appropriate parties will read it eventually. RE: A comprehensive list of games that are only problematic on AMD/ATI graphics cards
Is there any recommended catalyst version for PPSSPP?
Do anyone think rolling back to 11.11a makes any sense in a non legacy card? My specs: i3 540 ATi 5770 windows 7 x64 |

If you're referring to the Catalyst Control Center, then the answer is no, there is no specific CCC version that I'd recommend. If you're referring to the drivers themselves, For the 5xxx series, you should be fine with the latest supported drivers from the 13.x line of drivers. I'd only recommend you to roll back to 11.11a if PPSSPP starts behaving badly with those latest drivers. Updated the Tekken 6 situation. Keeping Hardware Transform ON in Tekken 6 is now more beneficial for AMD cards in the latest (0.8.1-10xx+) developer builds. Minor perf penalties apply if you switch it off, unlike the older builds. Thanks for the answers. Don't worry about CCC, I prefer ATi tray tools instead.
I just remembered that Supermodel 3 emulator worked better with some old catalyst version. |

I'll have to add these games into the list, thanks for the report. RE: A comprehensive list of games that are only problematic on AMD/ATI graphics cards
Bumped for the slight modification in Catalyst A.I. recommendations.
Apparently disabling Catalyst A.I. is unnecessary for ancient X series ATI cards, according to Danyal Zia. This one's on you mate, lol. Thanks. Btw, what are the problems you (or other users of non-legacy AMD card) get when Catalyst A.I. isn't set to off or low? Memory leaks when watching video cutscenes. (e.g. in Persona 1) Random crashes when gaming. Amongst others. RE: A comprehensive list of games that are only problematic on AMD/ATI graphics cards
Updated guide again with the latest FFIV development.
The fix has been reverted since v0.9.1-533-gb054f1d because it was causing issues in a number of other games so stick to a revision between v0.9.1-488-g6624bb8 and v0.9.1-532-g18c2342 if you still want to play this game on your AMD/ATI machine. RE: A comprehensive list of games that are only problematic on AMD/ATI graphics cards
Updated FFIV status for AMD/ATI graphics cards. Text is once again readable from v0.9.1-703-g74418c1 onwards by enabling the Disable Stencil Test hack in the Graphics options.
