Ram won't be the problem, as much a cpu power.... Iv heard a lot of devs sayin its one of the hardest consoles to emulate... not sure why this is, but they know what they're on about.. my comment on cpu power may not be true though... Rule of thumb is usually 10× cpu power required to emulate the system.. its not always true but a good rule to go by for LLE anyway.. HLE would require less as your not emulating the entire system, just the way the system is seen by a game.

As is ppsspp.

Here's hoping someone make a PPSSPP level of PS2 emulator, whether it's PC only, x64 only (http://www.emucr.com/2013/07/hpsx64-v009.html), or even mobile devices could even run it.

Sure PCSX2's good, but to be honest seems the dev doesn't give any shit fixing anything that isn't JRPG, Gran Turismo, or Dead or Alive.

PS2 is a much harder challenge than PSP so it's not really strange that only one project has gotten anywhere.. and mobile device performance won't be enough for another couple of years.

Dreamcast though is definitely possible to do very, very well on current Androids. I'm not interested enough to spend the time though, one big android emu is enough for me Tongue

i hope so too , because Castlevania: Lament of Innocence still wont work perfectly on pcsx2 , and i always file like pcsx2 not that great because it can even emulate some shity easy game and need a super hyper pc . so if someone can work on fixing the hole pcsx2 code or star a new emulator project its will be great but that need lot of hard work

my pc is 5 years old and give good performance using pcsx2...

this emulator is really not that bad...

yes on some games like ffx , DBZ bt3 , god of war but still had some slowdown and glitsh Lament of Innocence >_<
and after all this years pcsx2 still cant run fine games like ace combat and Castlevania

No. There's this no clipping/collision bug in 80% of the levels that makes game's virtually unplayable. And the devs still can't figure how to fix it yet.

Also the graphics' absurdly messed up and that also occurs on other Namco games (like, almost all of their PS2 games?).

pcsx2/ps2 is one of the most difficult consoles to emulate.. They done a very good job too. Sure its not perfect, but what emulator is??
