Problem with logitech controller not working
Hello everybody!
I have a really weird issue with ppsspp. My Logitech controller, a RumblePad2, worked flawlessly in all versions, but, all of a sudden, stopped working in any version, not even the last one (rev 8.0.1 - 788 as of writting this). I tried all of the menu options, rebooting and everything before writting this. I installed recently new logitech gaming drivers in order to make a steering wheel work, so in order to rule that out, I uninstalled all of logitech's software, and, via hardware administrator, I uninstalled the drivers for the controller and all of logitech's drivers. Then, I installed the oldest version that I had of logitech drivers that worked with my pad (v4.40), to no avail. I tried the latest version available (5.10) and it didn't work either. It is very weird. I even finished Crisis Core with that gamepad and it worked flawlessly. It does work with other games and emulators too. It's just ppsspp that's not working. I have windows vista 32 bits, and it updates automatically. Something to do with an update? As a workaround, i used xbox360ce (the xbox controller emulator) to fool ppsspp into thinking my controller is an xbox controller, and it worked. But a Logitech controller should work out of the box. Specially taking into account that it was working before. Any ideas? EDIT: The xbox360ce worked for 8.0.1 - 566, but not for 8.0.1 - 788. For the latest version, I had to use a PS3 controller with DS3 tool, and that did work, as the emulator thought it was a 360 controller. |

RE: Problem with logitech controller not working
Don't know where the option will be under vista but on XP
Control Panel=>Game Controllers=>Advanced=>check if the controller is selected. My second controller wasn't working at all because of that option http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?...0#pid37430 Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |

It probably changed to "none" when I installed my steering wheel, and windows left the wheel as primary controller by default! Isn't it a bummer when such a silly thing causes so much trouble? |
