How does lock CPU speed works?

there is barely any explanation for this, should i set this as low as possible or as high as possible to gain more speed mainly on android? does every game differ? please tell me what does this thing do and what is the optimal setting for it? thanks!

It all depends on the game in question, my friend...........experimenting is the way forward here.
Personally I found 150 - 200 frequency is a good medium for the games I have tested.
But not all games like the CPU clock speed being lowered or made higher.

As for explaining what this option does, I am not good at explaining things, so I will leave that to the experts LOL.

certain games like tekken 6 need 222mhz.. while soul calibur runs fast at 44mhz but flickers.

I think best option for this would be auto, until specific game settings are implemented. I think i read somewhere henrik was workin on that or at least soon
