Font problem + half way fix + still need help

1st of all
win xp 32 here
im using ppsspp automated builds

ok so i was playing phantasy star portable and 1st thing that strike me was that there is no text in chat bubbles

2nd thing that had my attention was fact that some letters in menus have bad spacing

well i was like ok so maybe game isnt emulated so smooth but its still playable so i just ignored it

and than i launched some dragon ball z shin budokai

and there was exact same spacing bug

and than i realized i seen it before when i was younger (27 now)

there was program where you could make RPG games called RPG Maker

and text in all its games suffers from same spacing bug

but back than i just go to control panel and opened fonts and (i dont remember how i did) but i found the 1 which had bad spacing in letters

and i just manually centered them and bug fixed

so i was hoping i can fix it in exact same way for ppsspp

but this time i googled which font could ppsspp use and i found out ppsspp uses its own fonts located in \PPSSPP\flash0\font folder

so i go to this folder and there i seen .pgf files WTF IS PGF FILES ?

i googled it and every site i found says use XnView to open it
but for me i dont know why XnView do not want to open that files


and than i found on google site (cant find link to it) where 1 guy had exact text spacing problem with his ppsspp and was asking for help

someone told him about \PPSSPP\flash0\font folder and that he need to exchange font files with other 1 which are spaced right

and they provided that link

its some collection of fonts

and that guy posted screen form the game after he swap fonts where text is just perfect

so i downloaded that file and i needed to select 1 font and duplicate it 16 times cause thats how many are fonts to switch

There is already a thread about this game here . As far I can tell this is a known bug wich has not yet been fixed. Regarding your halfway fix good job, but the bad spacing issue is caused by the default font of the PPSSPP, which can be fixed by dumping the flash0 font directly from your psp and copy/paste it into the emu

Yes but...radiant mythology 3? Isn't that in japanese only? It should not be affected by the latin alphabet, or do you mean the kana too?

do you happen to know if there exist english patch for Tales Of Phantasia Full Voice Edition ??? i mean text patch not voice

Sorry,I don't know...I'm not really into 2d battles tales games(the only 2D tales game I have with 2d battles is Legendia for PS2)

I'm trying to play both monster hunter 3rd portable and monster hunter freedom unite on PPSSPP, the games run fine but there is no text!
I am a mac OSx user, and I've tried many things, including downloading font pack etc. But nothing works, please, I really want to play, but it is for now impossible...

im xp user for me on all 3 MH games i have text in them is visible

can u try to download v0.8.1 or aruond that > version of emu for OSx ? and see if it works for you ?

I have a same problem, I just downloaded the emulator today and when I started the game, during the conversation the text are all clear but when I get to control my character, the text became like this. Help please.
