Have you tried the psp save on mh3rd hd and see if it works? i think it works, since the dlc quests save works it should work also.

It works. I loaded an old save of mine (400 hours) from an ancient PSP (PSP-2000 running on 5.xx GEN something.. I forgot) even got the translated Downloadable Quests too.

I made a new character from it though... Since I really like to go through the effort of collecting all Armor/Weap Sets, and I am still at it... 70 hours in... Big Grin

edit:
Hey Dax, is the new RAS option (5) so that only the X-Axis is utilized when using the RAS? If so, finally! no more annoying get-pummeled-by-bigass-monster-because-the-camera-went-somewhere-else! problems. Big Grin

PC Specs:
Intel Dual-Core E5500 2.8Ghz OCd to 3.3Ghz
4GB G.Skill RipJaws X DDR3 RAM
PALIT GeForce GT 640 1GB DDR5
Windows 7 SP1 x64

Yes, it only affects the X axis. No guarantees with D-Input though. Apparently the axes are wrong with the RAS.

Unuckily, I don't have my PSP anymore. So that option's out of the question. Guess I better put aside those 600 hours then...

Also, I can confirm that there's something odd with the axes (left-right registers as up-down and vice versa), but this isn't an isolated case, and is probably the fault of my own setup/pad.

Are the mixed up axes only on the RAS?

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
No problems with the axes here on the RAS using a plain ol' X360 wired controller (XInput) in this game.

Must be a DInput only issue.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
It is. There's now a new option in PPSSPP.ini to rectify that:

SwapDInputRightAxes:
0 = Don't swap
1 = Swap the X & Y axes

You're gonna laugh, but the Y axis is reversed (up/down, left/right is fine) when SwapDInputRightAxes is set to 1. Again, I've no idea how much this is the fault of my own setup, so I'll wait for updates from other users.

EDIT: DInput pad, by the way.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
can i extract pkg with my pc then decrypt eboot.pbp with my psp?

Edit : I have successfully extract pkg and eboot.pbp with my pc, but UMD_DATA.bin is missing. Is UMD_DATA.bin required for running this on PPSSPP?
Edit2 : I have create UMD_DATA.BIN with UMDGen. Then, i will try the iso later.
List of tools i used :
1. PSN PKG Decryptor & Extractor v1.73 to extract pkg
2. EBOOT2ISO 1.0 to extract EBOOT.PBP (it does not create an iso, only extract)
3. UMDGen v4.00 to generate UMD_DATA.BIN and create iso
Failed to load executeable : File is corrupt , zzz
Can someone give me UMD_DATA.BIN ?

Have you tried following the instructions in Team Maverick's video? You can find it here: http://youtu.be/Ta8gCIDcua8 They worked for me, and I was working with an eboot as well.

You may be "successful" in getting the eboot using pc tools but
Quote:It seems like the PKG extractor doesn't decrypt the eboot.bin.

This will be the case for the extracted eboot.pbp using those tools you mentioned, dont know about EBoot2ISO & UMDGen. That and I think that only a PS3 will be able to decrypt it successfully AFTER you have installed the pkg file to a haxxed PS3.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
I am now having issues regarding the RAS with the latest build (ppsspp-v0.8.1-386-g3e8cb98).
I set RightStickBind to 5. But ingame, the moment I nudge on the Right stick, it goes haywire. As if It is going in random directions. Changing RightStickBind back to 1 does not solve it, but reverting to an earlier build (ppsspp-v0.8.1-98-g0d0e1db) solves it.

I have checked both my x360ce settings and even trying out other games, but it only exhibit this behavior in ppsspp.

Edit: On a different note, also in the latest build, when sound is used (Atrac3+), I seem to get longer load times during transition screens, around 5 seconds.
Also, sound effects are a bit off, sometimes firing off 5+ seconds after it should have. I know that sound is still buggy for this game, just a heads up Smile

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
You use a DirectInput controller, right? If so, that's because the new keymapping system by Henrik(replacing the one by Danieru) didn't account for DirectInput yet, so it's probably completely broken. I opened a pullrequest to fix it/improve it, so just hang tight.

If it's because of XInput, then Henrik forgot to update the XInput rightstickbind stuff to work with the new system, as well.
