RE: Disable speed mode "Unlimited"
That might be a better idea, to have the unthrottle key on the L2 pad instead of the toggle. I personally don't like that Both L2 and L3 are the fps toggles. I think L3 should be the toggle, and L2 should be held for unthrottle. Would anyone be against that?

Well, since i'm one of those kind of guys that prefer to play in the keyboard and rarely use a controller i don't mind were you assign the hotkeys. But won't it be better if peoples can assign their own hotkey for toggle and unthrottle to their preference? (In both the keyboard and the controller). Anyway, we all appreciate that you are looking into this issue and may your first unborn child be a masculine child. I'm not quite sure I understand you exactly, L3 is the left stick button? This is my understanding of how the button layouts are for most controllers. http://i.imgur.com/vnR9hgW.jpg

Whenever i'm in combat I end up pressing L3 to hard by accident and the npc boss kills me because I have no time to react when its going like 300 VPS. |

RE: Disable speed mode "Unlimited"
I also assume that when you say "unthrottle key" you mean turbo or unlimited mode? Basically what the TAB button does currently. Personally I think stick buttons (L3, R3) are terrible to press, the less they are used the better, I think the best layout would be to have L2 stay the same but remove the Unlimited part to it, so have it do Standard > Fixed > Standard > Fixed, ect. when pressed, and change R2 to act as the TAB key does, as press & hold Unlimited or Turbo mode button.

Hmm i didn't know so many people didn't like using the L3 button. I personally love it hehe. Maybe we can use L2 and R2.

Don't you dare make it a hard bind to L2 (which is used for the Hold down unthrottle method) and R2 (which is unbinded at the moment) lol. I personally love the current L3 button option at the moment too, makotech222. I will have no issues if you implement it as an option you can change yourself. (i.e. no hard binds) Btw, the current implementation is already L2 :- Hold to unthrottle for maximum Speed. L3 (push down L stick) :- Change the throttle modes between Normal, Fixed, and Unlimited. Just the way I like it lol. As long as I can disable Unlimited from the toggled speed modes, I'm happy with the bindings you provide

Quote:Btw, the current implementation is already That's not how it is for me. L2 - Toggles Standard > Fixed > Unlimtied R2 - Nothing L3 - Acts same as pressing Esc or Backspace on the keyboard, so the Emu's main menu or whatever you'd call it. |

RE: Disable speed mode "Unlimited"
I set the keys like this and I really hope you will be able to configure anything in the future.
I use my gamepad software(Logitech)to configure the emulator. L2 - Act as the TAB key(unlimited speed while holding the key) R2 - Act as Shift(rapid fire is active while holding it) L3- Switch between Standard,Fixed and Unlimited R3 - Bring the main menu(I don't really need to bring the menu with the gamepad) BTW any idea why 3 possible hotkeys are added to bring the menu...one is ok but why 3 The lower left button on the PSP(Esc),Back and Reserved are acting the same way...bring the menu Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |

RE: Disable speed mode "Unlimited"
I guess I should mention that I'm using a XInput based controller. (The original wired 360 controller)
How many of you here that are facing this issues are using a DInput based controller instead? They may be mapped differently for the speed toggling/unthrottling options in DInput when compared to XInput by default.
