How do i configure a gamepad for ppsspp?

How do i configure a gamepad for ppsspp?
i'm using a twin gamepad but the emulator doesn't seem to recognize it. is there a way to implement x360ce into the emulator? or am i just missing something? i hope xpadder isn't the only solution to use a gamepad on ppsspp.

Have you tried with the latest ppssp build? i think it has support for gamepads...
