Windows: Crash when starting the emulator
#1
To put it bluntly, I have the latest drivers for my graphics card and VC2010 redist installed just like the FAQ recommends. Yet, I get this error, more info:

Code:
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: PPSSPPWindows.exe Application Version: 1.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 51b78252 Fault Module Name: StackHash_5861 Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Offset: PCH_64_FROM_ntdll+0x0002E1A4 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Data: 00000008 OS Version: 6.2.9200.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1046 Additional Information 1: 5861 Additional Information 2: 5861822e1919d7c014bbb064c64908b2 Additional Information 3: f3d5 Additional Information 4: f3d5be0cad2787556264647dc02181c3

Using Windows 8 x64, was working perfectly in my last setup, but I had to re-install everything so I'm no sure what else could be missing. Any ideas?

Yes. Intel Graphics 4500MHD.

Okay, I found out what was the problem. Actually, my driver was and wasn't updated at the same time. Sounds confusing but I was using a version that Microsoft made it themselves (WDDM 1.1) that was released for Windows 8, but the one that has OpenGL (1.4) support is the one from Intel which I had to download manually since no driver update software could find it. Thanks to wiki drivers, I got the latest one that has support for GM45 Express and the emulator doesn't crash anymore.

Maybe this thread will be useful for anyone who has the same problem.
