What's the problem with video support ?

I am wondering what is the problem with video support ? Why it has not been merged into master ?
I thought main reason oioitff's work has not been merged is atrac3+ and problems with decoding it, such as dependency on SonicStage and fact that for now it can only work on windows.

However, atrac3+ has been merged to master.

So what I don't understand is then why video support is still not in master ? I mean if we can merge atrac3+ which still needs third party software and still only works on windows, why can't we merge video support which works fine on android too ?

What's the holdup ? Is there some big issue with video ? It doesn't seem like from comments in oioitff's pull request.

If anyond could clarify the situation I would really appreciate it...

I noticed a problem in playing video in android when the video has subtitle, got black screen. I tested the game Thrillville Off The Rails, activated the subtitle settings and the screen was black, deactivated, the video reproduced normally. In that same game, the screen "Press Start Button" have a video in the background, it is not played because of the phrase "Press Start Button". What can be the problem?

As for the crashes with the new at3plus decoder, those can and will be fixed, don't worry.
