RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
Interesting, really? Here:

https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/commit/e30dedd

It seems to crash right after a call to sceKernelExtendThreadStack()...

I can also confirm that game is not playable in latest revisions - it doesn't just crash at the battle of almorica, it crashes when entering any battle.

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
v0.7.6-15-g9ad1c08
Xperia Play
I'm playing a Japanese version, thus I'm not sure if it is proper to post result here.
The game is playable by disabing "Buffered Rendering".
The inter-mission animation cannot be seen on this phone and the font is weird (no problem with Katakana and Hirakana characters, but most of the Kanji characters are wrong).

You don't need that exact version, it just needs to be between v0.7.5-156 and v0.7.6-204

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
Game now works just fine in the latest revision 0.7.6-659, thanks to [Unknown]'s fixes merged into the master. Music's absolutely phenomenal (works just fine on the normal build thanks to atrac3 only implementation). Only video cutscenes are missing.

Goes through the battle of almorica (the first real one?) without a problem.

Only 2 minor issues:-

Need to disable buffered rendering to see the World Map properly.

However, Buffered Rendering needs to be ON to view the battlefield and all your units properly.

Quite strange.

Also, turn off linear filtering in this game for the best visual results. (Like in many other games with 2D pixel art)

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
So I was playing this game on my PSP a while ago, and now I want to transfer my save files to PPSSPP. The save files show up correctly (both in the Android and Windows version) but after the game loads it has this message:

"This save data requires additional content data not found on the storage media. Please insert the storage media containing the latest additional content data and launch Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together again."

Any ideas on how I can get this additional data or convert my save file to remove this requirement? I'm using the exact same ISO file as on my PSP. I've attached one of the save games below Smile

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
Seems like there was DLC for Tactics Ogre:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/999440-ta.../646312082

I never bought any of it, but you might have to copy the DLC from PSP/GAME into the emulator's PSP/GAME. I don't know if that will work.

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
Hmm, I don't think that's it - I don't have any files in PSP/GAME. According to message boards, the DLC is included in the .ISO. Any other place I could look?

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
I have an issue with this ROM. When I first started playing it the music was working fine. I saved, but when I came back and started playing again the music wasn't working. The sound works weirdly, kinda staticy. Also the visuals are strange. The units are always in the foreground even if they're behind terrain. I can't ever tell where a unit is just by looking at the map. Any ideas on what happened?
