PPSSPP and game serial numbers question
When saving files related to a game, PPSSPP, and the PSP itself use the game's serial number as the start of the filename. Does PPSSPP, or the PSP itself, ever include the dashes in the serial numbers?
In other words, if a game's serial is "TCM-30002", will the filenames (cheats, game data, save data, and save states) always start with "TCM30002"? Or might there be some games where the dash is included in the filename? I ask because I'm making a script to identify what games the various files belong to, and since the serials in the filenames aren't formatted the same way as they are on lists, I have to try and parse them to get the proper serial. That's going to be a lot harder if I can't count on the filename including just the letters and numbers. As it is, I need to include 38 exceptions to the normal naming pattern if I want it to be able to identify any game, and not just the most popular/common ones. And since I don't have access to these games, I can't test them. So I came here hoping someone would know the answer. |
