PSP - homebrew emulators 2
sfageas accidentally deleted the old emulator thread, if someone has a cache or posted interesting stuff, please repost
Here's the text contents of the first post from the old thread by bubblegumballoon, found in the google cache. Please help restore the screenshots and download links etc. This Thread Belongs to BubblegumBalloon Tested on Windows 7 & Android using the latest commit on: 28/03/2013 Thanks to sfageas for testing and giving feedback on a lot of the emulators posted below! Spreadsheet with Emulators by BubblegumBalloon https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Alpc5CBIDreZdHpqV0xpeTlUc0N1TnJxRTA3aHdMR2c#gid=0 Note: Enabling "Display Raw Frame Buffer" fixes menu flickering menu issues. Turn it off after launching a rom or the game will black screen Also disable fast mem in PPSSPP, it doesnt play nice with the emulators. Note 2 : Place all Emulators in memstick/PSP/GAME Directory ===========================================================- Playable -===========================================================- GpSP (0.9) - GBA Plays games at 60fps with full working audio, some menu flickering but gameplay is flawless. enable screen stretching in gpsp's options to get gameplay to fill the entire PPSSPP window Download ** No Bios Included ** -===========================================================- Picodrive - SEGA Megadrive/CD Very glitchy menus but once a game is booted it is fine (runs games at 60fps on a 2009 iMac and Xperia Play phone) Download ** No Roms Included ** -===========================================================- Homers Rin (GeMP) - GBC Plays games at 60fps with full working audio. "Display Raw frame buffer" MUST be enabled for this emulator to work.Works on phones Download **No Roms Included** -===========================================================- Masterboy 2.10 - Mastersystem - Game Gear & GBC Emulators Plays games at 60fps, has static distortion in the menus. Download **No Roms Included** -===========================================================- RacePSP - Neo Geo Pocket Plays games at 60fps, has flickering in the menus. Download ** No Roms Included ** -===========================================================- NesterJ - NES Plays games at 60fps, Audio works (sound terrible though), extreme flickering. Dowload ** No Roms Included ** -===========================================================- PSPKVM - Java Plays games at 60fps, no reported issues. Download ** No Games Included ** -===========================================================- Fuse - ZX Spectrum Plays games at 60fps, audio works but its very buggy. Download ** No Games Included ** -===========================================================- PSPHugo - PC engine Plays games at 60fps, no reported issues. Note : I tried all hugo versions and i couldn't make them work on android. The latest versions needs raw framebuffer and the older ones freezing emulator on main menu Download ** No Roms Included ** -===========================================================- Handy PSP - Atari Lynx buggy sound on menu but when you load a game it goes away(it comes back when open the menu and maybe the buggy sound will follow when return)if it happens then run the game again,it should go away. You can turn music off with V in-game and go to menu with LR(QW) pressed *You have to provide the atari lynx boot img named LYNXBOOT.img and drop it to handyPSP main directory Download ** No Roms Included ** -===========================================================- PLynx 0.9 - Atari Lynx a bit better than handyPSP no buggy sound on menu.Need buffered rendering switch between game and menu Download ** No Roms Included ** -===========================================================- VicePSP 2.2.15 - Commodore 64 here's an audio bug in emulator and i think the true drive emulation > off option doesn't actually work Download ** No Games Included ** -===========================================================- NeoGeo CDZ - Neo Geo CD framebuffer issues again mostly on select game menu,do the buffered rendering+raw framebuffer trick. I also used stretch to display and i disabled raw framebuffer after game boot.Fast memory disabled on start Tested with 3 Count Bout.Almost full speed(depends with effects) some slowdowns to 45fps but fully playable!Works on phones but is a bit slow(10-15 vps ingame) Note : You have to provide the neocd.bin (Bios) and drop it to the neogeo cd main directory Download ** No Bios & Roms Included ** -===========================================================- PSPUAE v0.62 Christmas Edition - Amiga 500 Amiga 500 emulator with PSPUAE v0.62 Christmas Edition this version was the only one that worked but not without problems ,framebuffer issues like you must change constantly between buffered rendering and raw framebuffer to get a picture.in game micro stuttering but with full speed Notes : Press V when kickstart appears for emulator menu it will display a xmas pic, enable framebuffer to see the menu Note2 : You must have a kickstart rom named kick13 into KICKS folder --I have converted an older version of PSPUAE 0.4 it's more playable and works on phones!-- Download ** No Games or Kickstart(bios) Included ** Note : With this version you must rename the kickstart rom to Kick.ROM and place it in PSPUAE Folder. You must extract both Folders into memstick/PSP/GAME -===========================================================- DaedalusX64-r707 - N64 This older version of Daedalus allows the firmware check to be skipped so we can load into the menu and boot roms, however it is a lot slower than the latest revision and "Dynamic Recompilation" must be disabled within the emulator or PPSSPP will crash. Super Mario 64 runs at about 30fps with many graphical errors Download: click here [too big to attach to post] -===========================================================- PSPCAP32 v1.5.1 - amstrad cpc emu Notes : Disable buffered rendering Download ** No Games Included ** -===========================================================- CaSTaway Atari ST Emulator You must have the Atari ST bios named TOS.ROM into the CaSTaway directory Download ** No Roms or Bios Included ** -===========================================================- Not-Playable -===========================================================- DaedalusX64-r790 - N64 Boots up but gives an error saying the PSP firmware is too old. Mario 64 runs at 60fps on the original PSP using this revision so if we get this to works we can get some playable n64 games running on PPSSPP. Download: click here [too big too attach to post] -===========================================================- Snes9x Euphoria R5 - SNES Gets into the menu but black screens when running a game. Extreme flickering. Audio seems to work in the menus (click sound when moving selection) Download: click here [too big to attach to post] |

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
Dont worry its fine as long as the original post is preserved.
Thinking about it there must be a better way to format this information. Maybe a wiki or a google docs perhaps? Some way we can all collaborate on the information rather than having one person edit the OP. the ideal solution would be to embed an iframe of the google docs page into the OP. I know thats not possible though. |

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
Its fine its easy to fix! The most time consuming part was seeing what emulators did and didn't work and we still have all that information.
I set up a public google docs here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?...MR2c#gid=0 It should be easier to maintain, also anybody has access but I trust nobody will wreck it. Its easy to revert to a previous version anyway. I still need to figure out the format before adding information. Added all the information! I also made it so anybody can edit this document. It may seem like that can be abused easily but google makes it super easy to undo abuse. Heres to link to anybody who wants to add emulators/change the notes https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?...sp=sharing |

I wish we could embed the spreadsheet as an iframe in the OP, it would make things so much easier.

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
Sorry sfageas but it doesn't look like dl.qj.net is accessible from within in the UK. I used to be able to visit it but within the past few months it times out whenever I try to visit it. It happens on multiple computers/internet connections. Not really sure why its happening.
