How to connect multiplayer on Metal Gear solid : peace walker on ppsspp mobile

Me and my friend have been trying to connect how device to play multiplayer on Metal Gear solid peace walker on our Android device but it doesn't work. I've tried multiple suggestions but it still doesn't work. We both use ppsspp gold emulator on our Android phone. Please any suggestion on how to connect it, I'm not talking about the versus mode. We're trying to play the mission multiplayer mode together but it doesn't work, please give me suggestions if you have played it together with your friends before, if possible a video tutorial would help alot

Depends on what kind of network you're using, whether you're playing over the internet (public adhoc server or VPN), or on LAN, also depends whether your internet capable of port-forwarding or not (ie. using mobile data, in the case of using public adhoc server).
For Android users there is also Port Offset issue (if you're not using the default value)
Since Multiplayer is still experimental, i recommend testing the latest dev build from https://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/ if you have issue with older/release version.

The coop missions are less stable than the versus mode.
Even if you play next to each other it may disconnect between android devices.

Check if the "Ad hoc" networking option is enabled in the PPSSPP emulator settings on both devices. Ad hoc mode allows for local multiplayer connections. To access this setting, go to Settings > Networking > Enable Networking/WLAN > Enable built-in PRO ad hoc server.

On the host device (the one starting the multiplayer game), go to Game Settings > Networking and set the "Pro Ad Hoc Server IP Address" to the IP address of the host device. You can find the IP address by going to your device's Wi-Fi settings.
