Transferring in game save data from SD card

I got a a new phone (Android 9)and I copied my in game saves for power stone 1 and 2 to an SD card they are in jpg format I know the PPSSPP app uses the internal storage so I copied it to the PSP save file but I boot up the game and try to load the in game save and it says no save data found I tried to change the back up save file to the same as the SD card where my save files on and still nothing idk what to do I just really don't want to start over again ? although I have in the past because I couldn't figure this out plz help!
