Spent a fair amount of time with Castlevania and PPSSPP v1.7 today and I can confirm that what CheatJoker008 lists above for DXC and Rondo of Blood is still accurate. Didn't try out SotN yet.

Very rare crash during the Full Boss Rush Mode in Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles US MacOS PPSSPP v1.6.3-314. Whether using Maria/Richter the game will crash everytime you take the final hit on Dracula. Just a heads up. Not sure how to fix it.

Yeah I have a persisting issue with the Rondo of Blood port within this game, where it keeps crashing whenever I rescue Maria, or any of the other hostages. Cutscenes in general have bad audio skipping, but the Maria/hostages cutscenes crash the game. Does anyone have a solution after all these years?

5 years later in 2019 and all the issues you've guys have repeated are still the same with the original Rondo of Blood port's cutscenes. They still go into a black screen or just crash the game. The most noticeable crash is when you first meet Maria. However, there is a youtuber who can run the Maria cutscene just fine w/o crashing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k57Cx4LBP44&t=202s So unless the youtuber is lying and is actually playing on something other than PPSSPP, this makes me think that there is an obvious solution to prevent the cutscene crash, but we just can't see it. The most common answer I've found all over the internet is to set the system to simulate UMD delay. I've seen people say this works for them, while others, including myself, have not been helped at all by this answer. If there is anyone who can run this game fine, please let us know and post your information such as settings, systems, etc. Anything would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Emu Version 1.8:
On PC (Windows 10), played the main game far enough to unlock SOTN, then played all the way through SOTN without a hitch. On Google Pixel (2016, Android Oreo), I get through the intro movie, then the title screen briefly appears, and then I get unceremoniously dumped back to the phone's home screen. No changes to default settings. (Wouldn't know where to begin.) Any ideas? |

I see... The problem with Atrac3+ on Rondo of Blood and some problems on rescue continue. This is a bit sad.

Aside Rondo of Blood Atrac3+ wrong behaviour, SOTN has error with Fire Demon. Fade in back with specific error during 1 frame generating a red square in the screen.
On the attachment, the wrong behaviour on PPSSP. How works in the original hardware: https://ibb.co/YR2hZXR As you can see, on the original hardware is real fire behind layered covering the enemy and no red square error, obviously. I hope some fix for this one day, aside Atrac3+ on Rondo of Blood. |

Playing this game in 2021 on ppsspp, everything works, except for the music cutting off, as well as the audio in cutscenes. If there is a fix, it be greatly appreciated.
