Sleep mode.
Hello there :3 I have a question.
I've seen sleep mode in feature request thread and as the request was posted very early in it (on a 5th page or so), was it already implemented or not yet? Some games have additional features when you put the PSP into sleep mode. Final Fantasy Type-0, for example, has a "secret training" feature that allows your characters to level up while PSP is in sleep mode. The feature is quite neat, considering that there are 12 characters to level up. Please, tell me if I'm missing something or this feature is not yet available. Thank you :3 My specs: Phenom X3 8450 ~2.3GHz PowerColor HD6850 1GB 4 gigs of DDR2-800 RAM ~400GB HDD Windows 8.0 x64 |

RE: Sleep mode.
No, it's not available. I experimented with adding it a while back, and had a small amount of success, but I didn't pursue it very far. I could get the game to respond to a simulated power button switch and enter sleep mode, but I couldn't figure out how to wake the game back up.

I'd be happy to see it being fully implemented at some point, though. It really would help in Type-0. RE: Sleep mode.
Actually, I just had another go at it, and some games are actually waking up from sleep mode after a bit of tweaking. FF Type-0 is still not responding, though..

RE: Sleep mode.
Sort of. Certain other parts of the emulation still need to be corrected and fixed before sleep mode can become a reality, so this is on the backburner for now.

RE: Sleep mode.
Nope. It's a very niche feature most people doesn't even know about and among those that do know, most aren't interested in it.
If implemented, it would have an use in like 2 games and people would use it to instantly pass long amount of time for in-game benefits, basically to cheat which is better done by actually using cheats.(There are 3 games known to use it, but third one is for waiting for players to join in multiplayer which is useless in case of PPSSPP.) If you have an github account, you can go here press the "subscribe" button with the bell on the right side and when it ever will be implemented you'll get an info on email, which might actually be never due to the above combined with tons of more appealing feature requests and issues available to solve. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |
