black screen but can still play?

hi, im trying to play persona 1 on the ppsspp emulator but my computer keeps experiencing a black screen every time i try to walk around in any of the 3d areas. the game still recognizes the inputs and the music is still playing, but i cannot see anything on the screen. i've tried changing the language and messing with the graphics but it doesn't seem to fix the issue. does anyone have a solution?

this is on win 10 ppsspp v 1.10.3 btw

Have you tried changing the backend to OpenGL, Vulkan, and Direct3D 11? This might be a driver issue.

Are you otherwise using default settings?
