Unfortunately, both Freedom Unite as well as Portable 3rd suffer from issues running theses codes. The code provided breaks weapon hitboxes in Freedom Unite, and the codes for Portable 3rd put boss monsters at twice the speed, making some of them unbeatable.

I'd be willing to pay 50€ as a bounty to anyone who is willing to do some digging and fix up either one of these codes.

It's been over 5 years since I asked about getting Hajime No Ippo Victorious Spirits PSP to 60 FPS. I am interested in getting both that game and Boxer's Road 2 to 60 FPS.

I haven't played Boxer's Road 2 for some time but I know in Victorious Spirits after you choose your fighters when it shows both player models face to face before it loads the match it seems that during that short time the frame rate is at 60FPS, but then when it gets into the match it drops back to 30FPS.

Victorious Spirits is an amazing game but it would be so much more fun if we can get it to 60 FPS during gameplay. Same for Boxer's Road 2, it's a very deep game but the choppy graphics always bothered me. At least in Victorious Spirits you have the broadcast camera view which makes 30 FPS more tolerable since the camera doesn't move like it does in Boxer's Road 2. BR2 really needs a higher frame rate with the camera options.

I am very interested in trying to search for a 30/60FPS switch code that we can enable to make both of these games run at 60 FPS.

Hello guys, I have been playing with cheat engine and I have found a couple of FPS changing codes for several games, but for now I will only post MGS Peace Walker.


EDIT by a moderator: I've fixed the missing "_C0 60FPS v4 [Always]" on the USA version.

I really appreciate your effort in this and I am having an amazing time with the game (MGSPW USA version).

But I noticed two problems.They both occurs when the 30 FPS or 60 FPS cheats are on. I tried all the FPS cheat.

1. When I equip sniper rifle and try 3×zoom, the camera is stuck. I can't move the camera to aim(in 3×zoom state). Equipping PTRD1941 & PTRS1941 won't move the camera at all at any zoomed state.

2. In "Peruse Amanda" mission, after reaching at last stage,"BANANAL FRUTA DE ORO: SORTING SHED", the camera is stuck after loading completes.It doesn't move along with the character.

I know it's been so long and would be annoying to look at these problems nowadays. But I would really appreciate if anyone could provide the solution.

You have to search memory when the game changes from 30FPS to 60FPS or something like that. Different games have different values to search and you have to discover where in the game you need to search.

Rather than patching 60 fps i really want to patch 30 fps instead.
Some games run 60 fps natively, and that is too demanding to run on mid range devices, 30 fps will be a sweet spot.
I managed to cap 30 fps in some games by CPU clock, but it also drop the performance despite the 30 fps. Like your phone in low-battery mode.

I read this by LunaMoo about breaking down Vblank function related to games code but really couldn't get my around it.

Anyone with experience can give this a look ?

If a game runs natively at 60fps, you can easily force 30fps by changing the Frameskipping value to 1.
(My device isn't very strong, and suffers performance drops in 60fps games. This helps a ton.)
