Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

RE: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Sound latency shouldn't cause nor fix crashes and doesn't to majority of people so it's probably your audio drivers issue.

Could still be related to bad installation data somehow as the game does typically get more audio at the end of missions from install data, but I fail to see how setting latency to low would avoid a crash from trying to play corrupted file.

You right.now I remember that I also disabled fast memory from system tab because of that "(unstable)" in front of its name (it was enabled by default).
Now I tried and that sound latency have no effect on it.
How stupid I am sorry for that.

As long as you have game version - ULUS10509 (US release), you just have to enable WLAN in ppsspp networking settings, then activate that "Recruit discovery" cheat(actual cheat, without the [Disable] part ~ you don't even need to copy that one:3) and use the option in game as you normally would(it unlocks and is explained as you progress through the game).
If you don't know how to use cheats the first post in here explains that.

As for details what it actually does ~ well, actual game feature checks WiFi list and based on ID's it finds it generates a bunch of random recruits(might be good, but also might suck;p). The cheat pretty much fakes that, it generates random stuff and fills the game's wifi list with it. As a side effect the game will never lock the feature since it pretty much detects you checking different(made up;3) wifi networks each time you search for recruits. They might also be more random where actual feature could give you better or worse recruits based on location.

Hi, LunaMoo. Sorry to disturb you again. The code doesn't work for me, I assume that's because I own the EU version ? The search never recuits anybody. Also, if the cheat is already activated when I arrive in the recruit menu, the game freezes (I have to activate the cheat once I'm already in the menu)[EDIT : never mind, it's the WLAN option that freezes the game]. Is there such cheat for the EU version, or would you mind porting it, if that's not too much trouble ?

Thank you.

RE: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
I have a question about the game. I've tried to play PAL version in the PPSSPP 1.7.4 and apart from rare texture flicker while crouching I noticed some werid stuff going on with the first boss (armored vehicle) physics. The vehicle sometimes tilts to the air like it was stuck on an invisible hill. It's movement is unpredictable as it changes speed from slow to fast instantly. Did this happen to you too? I'm using Vulcan renderer.

Have you got a fix for that? I have the same problem...

Applied all patches for US (Not disable ones, of course)
and changed to 3F00 for aim speed, to slow it down, but still the same speed?
thanks

RE: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
You should edit the cheat BEFORE activating it, otherwise the changes will NOT be applied and you'll have to disable(using [Disable] codes) then re-enable those cheats.

You can use float to hex converter like https://gregstoll.com/~gregstoll/floattohex/
0.25 is 3E80

Hey what's up? Sorry, I just replied, and thank you, they gave me some steps that you said.

There is one on how to use the right analog stick in some games using hacks. Do you know if there will be one for the Star Wars Elite Squadron?

I would thank you infinitely. A hug.

RE: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Hello folks, I'm having a problem loading mission 04 specifically. PPSSPP crashes right after the opening cut scene on the white loading screen. I believe it has something to do with a file not being loaded out of the installed files on the "memory card". I have reinstalled the installation files but still no luck.

Upon looking at my own screenshot, it appears the game is trying to load an atrac audio file/stream and failing due to the first byte in the stream/file not being valid.

If I turn off fast memory, the game stops crashing but hangs in the white loading screen with this as the final line in the debug screen:
E[HLE]: hle\sceopenpsid.cpp:25 UNTESTED sceOpenPSIDGetOpenPSID(167508064)

If I leave fast memory on I get the following just before it crashes: (see attachment)

Does anyone have a clue whats going on here?

(Yes I have used cheats on this save.)

RE: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Hello folks, I only just recently started using PPSSPP to play Peace Walker and so far it was working amazingly. WAS. Then i got to mission Armored Vehicle Battle: LAV-Type G and for some reason the vehicle's physics got all weird and it started speeding up and slowing down at random intervals, and floating up. Now normally this wouldn't be a problem, I'm used to buggy games, as long it's not game breaking. But unfortunately this is. You see when I take out the guards more come out, but since the vehicle deploys guards when it's stopped and when it's stopped it floats the guards sink into the ground, making it so you can't take them out and making the mission uncompletable stealthy. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

Thank you for your time.

Hello, for some reason in the mission Armored Vehicle Battle: LAV-Type G vehicle is buggy. It speeds up and slows down randomly. But real problem is that when it stops it floats up, and when I take out some soldiers it deploys more but since the vehicle is floating up when they jump out they sink in the ground and since I need to take them out to complete the mission I can't finish it stealthy. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for reading.
