PPSSPP wont open at all

the programme wont even start. any help will be greatly appreciated.

What kind of error do you get?

its not an error it just doesn't open up the wheel goes round and nothing pops up

It should at least give you a message. What's your PC specs and which PPSSPP version you tried?

ive got an i5-7400 and a gtx 1050 ti and on the latest ppsspp

If you use an antivirus, make sure it's not preventing PPSSPP from opening. You can try the latest development build from here: https://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/
Reinstall your GPU driver to make sure it's working properly. If nothing work, report your issue here: https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues

i found what was stooping it i tried to stop it and it said the instruction at 0x00007ff92970b461 referenced memory at 0x0000000200000001. the memory couldn't be read

-> Try to run PPSSPP as administrator.
-> try defrag on the hdd as well (for some reason it did speed up my GOW Ghost of Sparta and spiderman 3)

I also had this problem. I had to choose a normal antivirus. Considered bestantiviruspro.org/comparison/avast-vs-mcafee/ avast vs mcafee, chose Avast. Now everything is fine.
