Yes huge speed improve, when i using vulkan api. Sometimes i got 50-60% plus speed on my redmi 4x (ardeno 505), but after 5minute play, the screen starting flickering and game textures goes to mess. Maybe framebuffer error.

You'll need to install the latest Dev builds. They enable the option to use the Vulkan render path.

I've made a ton of new improvements to the Vulkan backends so test it properly now before 1.5! Smile

RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
From what's important for PPSSPP, listed by popularity(at least based on the reportsTongue) you can use it on:
- android,
- windows,
- linux probably not yet, but it certainly will be supported in the future.

You do need a graphics chip with drivers supporting Vulkan through, there's a nice list of supported devices in here, but I think it's only submission based and might not have everything. Generally most new devices come with Vulkan support as long as they aren't made by Apple.

RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
I see a few fixes for FF4. Unfortunately, the game is missing a lot of graphics layers and shows a black screen during the Title menu on my Shield TV. Maybe I need to clear the shader cache? What directory am I looking for?

The progress with the Vulkan render is pretty amazing though. MGS Peacewalker runs perfectly at 30 FPS on my Axon 7 with the Snapdragon 820 chipset.

RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
I believe only OGL has shader cache and it's(usually) bumped whenever necessary so you don't have to delete anything, instead visit issue tracker check if your issue is there and if it's not, open new oneSmile.

Achieving perfection feels like mission impossiburu, but at least github is pretty good for tracking problems.^_^

Yeah I'm having some rather odd issues on specifically Shield TV too, while it works great on Mali and Adreno, which sure is a change from the OpenGL situation Smile Please create issues with screenshots of what you find.

Hi Henrik! Do you still have your s6? Vulkan works great on it on the newest build. Absolutely wicked performance gains. Even runs Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD at full speed, no hiccups whatsoever.

RE: Hows the Vulkan Backend Coming Along?
That's cool PPSSPP is running well on Mali devices now, I feel bad the Mali T720MP2 of my phone doesn't support Vulkan. Anyway we can expect most popular phones (with Mali 800, Adreno 400/500) to run PPSSPP with high performance from now.

Phone: Galaxy J7 J700M @1.7GHz OC

PC: Intel Core i5 3470 3.2GHz/8GB DDR3 1600MHz/NVIDIA GTX 650 1GB GDDR5 128-bit/Windows 10 Pro x64
