Keyboard and mapping not working on my PC

So I just downloaded the newest build of PPSSPP 1.4.2 for the first time on my PC. When I try to change the keys in the settings, nothing changes and when I started up a game, it was not even responding to the default keys. It's as if PPSSPP does not recognize my keyboard. Not sure what to do. I have Windows 10.

hello guys, am new here.
i have a serious problem with my ppsspp. my fav game is pes soccer but am unable to enjoy it because of keypad problem, the problem is i can't press some keys together at the same time, when i do such keys will be automatically untouched after some seconds of pressing them even though my hands are still on them , it's hard to explain though e.g if i want to cut into opponets box from side , it requires to press running key R1 with dpad diagonals but when i make such combination the keys will be unpressed even though my hands are still on them thereby making the player to stop

next time for different problem than subject of post make new post so someone with same problem can easily find it

its problem with cheaper keyboards < nothing insulting my works the same way

instead of having each button individual transmitting line to keyboards lets say processor most keys share same lines

this way pressing few keys on same line blocks the process and you are experiencing it right now

and here comes solution in buy gamepad or borrow 1 from a friend cause you cant bypass that issue

in other words your problem is caused by poor design of your hardware

so only option is to use other hardware

alone other than using different keys you wont be able to do anything

i really suggest invest in gamepad best solution for you atm

If you mean downloading the zip file straight to my desktop and extracting there, that was the first thing I did. Could it also be caused by my antivirus trying to block the program?

yep thats what i meant anyway well i dont believe in antivirus blocking input but well who know whats possible

i would bet on some program making conflict with ppsspp
but did you try to run it in as administrator or in compatibility with older widows?

maybe that could help?

I just tried running it as administrator and that still didn't fix it. I guess my PC is just not compatible

ppl here have win 10 and play without a problem

so the conflict need to be somewhere
