The new nightly build works so much better. Still not perfect. But nice to see that support towards the s7 is being looked into. Edit: was working, but has gone back to crashing.

Yeah I also updated and managed to play lego starwars for about an hour. Suddenly can't load any games again. | |||

But still, good effort compared to before, therefore it's a form of improvement.

Retro Arch's PPSSPP v1.0.1-git core works perfectly fine for me on Galaxy S7 Edge Exynos, but you can't choose any options in Retro Arch like upscaling etc, so I will wait until PPSSPP is working. Might be worth looking into why Retro Arch works while PPSSPP don't.

| RE: Galaxy s7 edge crash
Probably because it's only running 32-bit in that case. v1.0.1 didn't support 64-bit directly, so it can't take advantage of the 64-bit processor, which allows for better optimization and speed. I guess in that case a temporary fix might be to blacklist the S7 for 64-bit? But still not really a fix. -[Unknown]

Well, by the time we're already showing the menu, we're already stuck with whatever we chose. Maybe it could require a restart... -[Unknown]

I think the issue is not reproducing after the clean install i.e. w/o any save states And once save states exist all the games in my library start crashing on lanuch

| RE: Galaxy s7 edge crash
I tried replacing the libppsspp_jni.so in the arm64-v8a folder with the one in the armeabi-v7a folder but then ppsspp complains about a missing native part for for ABI arm-64-v8a. So there is no really option to switch 32/64bit.. atm

For those who are looking for a working PPSSPP version for samsung s7 edge, the official version 1.0.1 works fine with no crashes. You can download it from PPSSPP website under 'downloads'.

So far it's working 1.0.1. The devs might need to take note in case there is a fix in this version.

| RE: Galaxy s7 edge crash
It is not particularly a fix in 1.0.1 it is a regression. In particular it is the removal of the 64bit code. So all it says is that the 64bit code has an issue with the galaxy s7 which they already knew.
