PPSSPP has popping audio after recording with Shadowplay
It's not in the recording, it's something the emulator does after recording stops. It continues even while paused and in the background. Loud, constant pops that go away when I restart PPSSPP.

Huh, I have Shadowplay as well, very odd, I'll do a recording with 1.1.1 and report back here.

Can you try and see if it also happens if you set the Audio backend to DirectSound in settings?

That seems to have worked. Was previously on auto.
