PPSSPP Windows - more CPU or GPU demanding?
I have a question related to performance of ppsspp win wersion.
Is this emulator more cpu or gpu dependant when it comes to performance?
Right now I have core 2 duo E8400 @3.0 ghz with gma x4500 integrated vga, and planning to add GT 630 to make a low budget gaming PC for emulation purposes (and some gaming, like RE5,6, rev2, SH5, gta 4, outlast etc. on medium, 576p/720p)

My question is - will better gpu have performance boost in ppsspp emulator?
Right now it works very good, but on 2x resolution and 2x xBRZ scaling, dsound I have some slight choppy animation while more things are going on or while I enter new areas and want to elimate those completly as well as going to 3x-4x res. and scaling 4x.

RE: PPSSPP Windows - more CPU or GPU demanding?
If it would be gpu demanding you wouldn't run it on gma x4500Tongue, it certainly isn't cpu demanding either althrough it all differs between games and while average is pretty low, definitely some games which are much harder to emulate exist.

GPU upgrade would possibly allow you a bit higher rendering res ~ through in case of nvidia gt630 probably not much ~ depending on the model, more importantly would increase compatibility through much better ogl support which in quite a few games is a difference between playable and not, however you will be disappointed with texture scaling ~ that little monster runs on CPU.

RE: PPSSPP Windows - more CPU or GPU demanding?
Thank you for reply, well I'm going to wait few month, gather cash and build a mini ITX gaming/emulation PC based on i3 @3.7ghz + GTX 960 2gb, 8gb RAM and 1tb hdd for many psx/psp/ps2 titles.
That should be sufficent for everything to my 1360x768 native TV.
