savestates not working

Whenever I save a state and close ppsspp and re open ppsspp, it's gone and so is my controls. PLEASE RESPOND ASAP.

Where have you extracted PPSSPP ?
Maybe you have put it in a folder where you don't have the permission to write the save.
You should try to extract PPSSPP to your Desktop, for example
