Okay it has been awhile since I had a PSP, but I am pretty sure there L1 and R1...???? Might be mistaken though.

If by "triggers" you mean analog/pressure sensitive like L2/R2(or LT/RT) on gamepads then no, PSP never had them and psp games wouldn't even know what to do with it.
L/R are just digital shoulder buttons.
