RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
So, v0.9.1-677-gd5a664a...v0.9.1-690-g1fde96a, right? (nothing I have accepts 670, I looked these up from the buildbot page.)
I think it's this: https://github.com/unknownbrackets/ppssp...c4c0e10674 -[Unknown] |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Kinda, but it isn't an animated rewind.
It just uses RAM, I think it's 40MB per with a max of 5 states. -[Unknown] |

The text still buggy, sometimes it appears too slow than it should be.
Does anyone have the solution for this? |

However, setting the internal render resolution to 1x (instead of the 4x I had it on) seemed to fix it 99% of the time. It is certainly not as pretty as 4x, but it fixes the text box and some sprite sizing issues. |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Text glitches still occurring in 0.9.5-933 (Windows 64 bit)
http://oi43.tinypic.com/2e1f6uv.jpg To put this into some context, it appears to be happening on all text in the game including dialogue boxes, and in menus. Particularly when you navigate menus and text quickly. This is a fairly common glitch, meaning it happens frequently, and it sometimes takes as long as 5-6 seconds for the real text to appear. |

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
Shouldn't this game be moved to playable? I'm about 6 hours in and ran into no major issues that impede the ability to progress further. Revision: 0.9.5-933 (Windows 64 bit)

RE: Star Ocean: Second Evolution
So it looks like I am having the same problem as The Randomizer was having in earlier pages where only dialogue boxes were appearing, though my game never crashes. I have it on non-buffered rendering and hardware transform on as someone advised, but no help. The FMV are perfect, battles are perfect, menu screens like character menu and start screen are perfect, but in the game all I can see are text boxes and the cartoon of Claude when he is the one talking. I have tried multiple versions and builds of ppsspp; 9.6, 9.5 and even 9.1. These emulators either stop working shortly after loading a game (sometimes by changing settings I can get them to work) or they all have failed to show these graphics - even the newest ones. I've tried other emulators, and one showed the missing graphics but was so bugged it was literally unplayable, and the rest just failed period. I have tried almost every option to change video settings on ppsspp and nothing seems to work, I've updated drivers, scanned my disk and repaired any errors, and have no clue what else I can do. It seems like my old laptop wants to render the graphics in a certain way, and the ppsspp emulator doesn't have the option for changing a setting to solve this problem.
Any suggestions? Either on how to tool ppsspp's video settings, or maybe modify my laptops video settings to work more properly? I've got Windows Vista 32-bit, and if its relevant my video card is (i think) ATI Mobility Radeon X1400. I'm not that adept with computers so maybe I am missing something obvious.... any help would be greatly appreciated. Star Ocean First Departure works fine btw. Also, reading through I see some have had better luck with the older builds - where can I find those? |
