LOL yeah I can confirm this now - ppsspp cannot see cheats when their folder is on pendrive in win 7 x64. O.o If cheats are on hdd it sees them fine even if ppsspp itself will be on pendrive.

My documents isn't on a pendrive its on a HD and it only works for me when my PPSSPP is in the root of my HD not in anything else. like my documents/desktop.'

So to make this clear it doesn't work for you if ppsspp is in "my documents" or desktop folders? I assumed you were using pendrive or something alike since you wrote about fixing it by moving ppsspp to hdd Tongue

. Generally it's not the best idea to use any windows folders especially with all default protections those newer win has.

Two cases I could reproduce missing cheats were by using pendrive or by saving cheat file as unicode and while I could understand the latter, I have no clue why it had problems with my pendrive;p. At least this might help those which couldn't find solution for this earlier.

I was having this problem like, weeks ago. Me and Makotech were trying to find the solution to cheats not popping up.

Moved PPSSPP to the OS, started Peace Walker and boom! Cheats!

What kind of Mind-boggling, software raping bug is this?! XD thanks for the help!

Mhm. I looked at the code briefly. Nothing that really pops out as causing the bug. Must be something to do with Win7/8 and their file directories for the documents and desktop folders.

I tried to use cheat for the game Valkyria Chronicle 2. I Created a "cheats" folder in the PPSSPP folder, opened PPSSPP, enable cheat, going into the file location but the .ini file for the game are no where to be found, as well as the cheat.db. Any idea? Please help.

The folder is automatically created when you enable the option and start any game.
Also,the folder is in ppsspp dir\memstick\PSP\Cheats

When i enable the cheat option, no folder was created. By the way, is the dir\memstick\PSP\Cheats folder is for Android or PC? Because i'm asking about the PC version.

I don't know about android...it's for PC.
You have to enable the option before starting a game,not when the game is already running.

Are you on Win8,did you tried running as administrator?

Yup, i'm using Win8, and I did run it as Administrator. Also, where is the folder dir\memstick\PSP\Cheats at? Because this is what my ppsspp folder look like.

The memstick folder will be created when you start ppsspp at least once and the Cheats folder will be created when you enable the option and start any game

Btw,it's best to place ppsspp somewhere else...you'll have problems if you leave it in Program Files.

Just copy PPSSPPWindows,assets,flash and lang to some other folder,uninstall ppsspp and use it from the other folder.

PPSSPP don't save anything in the registry so there is no point in having it as installed program
