RE: massive speed boost on latest armjit for sgs3
i never expected this much of an improvement from jit.
project diva extend now runs at 90-120% of normal speed. |

I tried git with my new device (LG optimus L9 with 1 ghz dual core A9, powervr sgx540) and games I've tested (obscure, dragonball evolution, thera dark warrior) are almost half speed! Henrik you are amazing, I think in the future you will be contacted by sony to work with them However my device seems limited by gpu because cpu usage is not always at 50% (1 core at full usage), especially if I set 2x resolution fps drops a lot and cpu usage is 30%. I think it's a weakness of mobile gpus in general because they have limited bandwidth compared to desktop gpus. Do you think there is still room for improvements on the gpu side? |

RE: massive speed boost on latest armjit for sgs3
it used to hover between 50 and 80% for actual playing, and with almost normal speed when watching a PV(so no moving 2D elements on the screen)
forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=594 i posted a video there of how well a PV runs without jit, and the fasted speed in that video is what the slowest speed is in normal play with jit enabled.(PV is pretty much what it should've been like on a Vita now) really the only thing missing for me to fully enjoy it is customizable controls(direction keys are mapped properly, but other keys aren't mapped to any gamepad or keyboard buttons) i really can't wait for the next big update. |

RE: massive speed boost on latest armjit for sgs3
Hi Henrik, your latest no slow down apk is awesome, even grand turismo is nearly going in game, everything works on the menus apart from overlay text, when I'm about to go in game it tries to display the track and stops, funny thing is sometimes it displays one frame of the track and cars, on other occasions it goes black screen, and that is a game that uses a lot of the original PSPs power, if this can be made to work (and it's close) it would surely be good enough to emulate 90% of the titles out there.

What cpu/gpu does Nexus 7 16gb have?I see all these terms that I'm not accustomed to.Also when can we expect a multi-core usage from ppsspp? Thanks for the continuous effort, with the latest jit I run Diva Extend at full speed until it goes ingame and slows down just bit.

Do you have a nexus 7 and jit run on it? Nexus has Tegra 3, 4cpu cores and his own GPU |

RE: massive speed boost on latest armjit for sgs3
Found and fixed a possible issue.
Those of you with crashes, try this: http://www.ppsspp.org/files/ppsspp-armjit2.apk EDIT: Getting reports that it still crashes so don't get your hopes up... |

RE: massive speed boost on latest armjit for sgs3
Hey, tested armjit on 2 devices: quad 1.5ghz tegra3 and dual 1ghz mali400 impressed by the performance on both, the only issue I have so far is that in some parts of the games it crashes when making save state. But overall it's amazing!
