Is it worth playing this game on PC emulator yet (I really want to experience it in HD)? I've seen there's some kind of bug which doesn't allow you to progress further in game, is it fixed yet?

Hi, sorry to maybe ask the same question for the n-th time, but I am wondering, how is Metal Gear working on the latest version of emu? I am planning to run PAL/NTSC version on PC 0.9.8 official version emu. Is it working properly? Does it need any tweaks? Maybe someone could do a review on how to run it smoothly and pin the post? So, I'm using PPSSPP v.0.9.8 on PC. Beat Peace Walker 3 and the credit rolls. I got a mission called "[103] LAV type G" but there's a problem.

After the cutscene before fight, the app always crash only on this particular mission. I tried skipped the cutscene but it still crashes too.

Oh, and I have an USA rom.

It doesn't crash here, using 0.9.8-1558-g3cb59ee. What sort of PC do you have? Are you using a git build, or the latest stable release (just saying 0.9.8 implies the stable release)?

Ah well, according to dxdiag, it's something like:

Windows 7 64-bit
Intel Core i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz
4096MB RAM

Yes, it was stable release.

It's rather strange because it's the first time it crashes and JUST mission [103]. Maybe I fiddled some setting?



EDIT:
Nevermind, maybe because I used savestate, tried loading from actual save file and it's working.

It's one of the graphic setting...I think its Alpha Blending or smth like that.

im using the stable version (0.9.8)and so far ive encountere only 2 problems. a chunk of the 'texture' (more like the filter???? i wish i still had the screenshot) of the floor goes missing but return after awhile.
and sometimes on the animated cutscenes some 'panels' go missing. also the 'timer' when youre spotted is all messed

ive also been wondering it the camera ingame work to take pics

Since Peace Walker fight 2 is apparently not fixed yet and I'm playing on the EU version, I'll have to use the cheat on the US version to proceed. How can I transfer my saves over from the European version to the American one? Renaming my save file from ULES01372001 to ULUS10509001 crashes the emulator right after the game has loaded Mother Base.

Edit. Nevermind, I just transferred the two files inside the save folders which are not .png and it worked for some reason.

Post #362....in case anyone was waiting for the coop, it works now . I'll see for myself and report back.

Tested right now, it works, both the coop and the versus option. Played now for 2 hours with my brother in LAN. It just has a small bug where you must delete the install data.If you dont then it hangs on some parts, at least for my EU version, and dont install neither the small, neither the large data install.

Since 0.9.9, game freezes between loading times for 5 seconds or so, seems to be using frameskip at full speed when it's set to auto, which breaks the game. Freezes between loading screens is random issue in this game. It occured in some builds, in other ones it disappeared. Happened since 0.9.1.
Why is the status still in-game, though? Game is perfectly playable, gee.

No, it's not. Peace Walker 2 cannot be killed withut cheat codes, and is a major boss.
