Okay now after upgrading the server I'm having the weirdest email issues. The forum simply won't send SMTP SSL email, and I've tracked it down to fsockopen failing with error 0 after upgrading to ubuntu precise pangolin. Works when running little test php programs from cmdline but not in mybb from fast-cgi with identical params. This is such a waste of time...

Anyone who can't get activated just email me at [email protected] as usual and I'll take care of it.

Since we've not seemed to receive any reports of activation problems in the last 6 months, I think it's safe to close and unsticky this. We can always sticky and re-open if the issue arises again.
