RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
Now that PPSSPP v0.8 is out it might be worth retesting a few of these emulators.

Any results or updates to the emulators guys, they may work far better or worse, hopefully better.

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
Are there still emulators that need Display Raw Framebuffer? I'd like to delete the feature as it mostly causes confusion given how much it breaks having it on.

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
gPSP seems to still require it, for its menu to display properly.

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
PSP UAE v0.2 now works perfectly (before the screen wasn't refreshing well), even without buffered rendering!
That said in iPad2: runs at half speed, and neither frameskip nor cpu clock changes impact the perf, at all!!! (maybe due to the way UAE is coded ?) Also fwiw, CaSTaway still crashes to springboard (though it works on PC/Mac) |

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
I tried the daedalus beta 3 with ppsspp v0.9.1-1467
Sometimes it freezes at boot up, sometimes in the options and at last it's freezes when I choose "start emulate". And with interpreter it's starting to emulate more or less.. It's loading and loading and then it freezes again. Very sad. EDIT : Okay with the deadalus revision 707 it's working! (with JIT) Slow but okay. Smartphone : -> Sony Xperia Tipo (Android 4.0.4) CPU - ARM Cortex-A5 800 MHz / GPU - Adreno 200 RAM - 404 MB PC : OS - Windows 8 / CPU - Intel Core i3-3220 3.30 GHz GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 / RAM - 4,00 GB |

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
psx emulation on psp is terrebly slow unless you have the real hardware.
also there is a download link for a gba emu at the very first page, it is often a good idea to at the very least read the first page of a thread before posting. |

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
Well the one being linked in the mediafire link should at the very least have been working when they posted it, though it can of course not guarantied that it works with the latest git and on all devices.
When you have downloaded the emulator you want put it in the the psp subdirectory GAME, if you do not have a GAME subdirectory create it. When extracted the elf file of the emu should appear under the category "homebrews and demos". |
