RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
Nice! Is there anything helpful in the PPSSPP error logs?

Im honestly surprised how well Mario 64 runs on emulated PSP using only interpreter. Its not playable but its still pretty damn good.

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
Basically we only need ppsspp jit and a bit of throttling, many games will run at good speed,or full

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
well using fast forward on PPSSPP (which basically just disabled the frame limiter) daedalus runs mario 64 nearly full speed at 140+vps

It audio was working it would probably sound very messed up though Tongue

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
I tried to run Castaway and UAE on iOS (iPad3) and get immediate crash...
Anybody knows a way around this ?
Actually UAE seems to work but it doesn't show any image, and its super super slow (sound is so hashed....)

Not all the emulators work on iOS and Android yet. They were all tested on Windows.

As for the UAE problem try enabling 'raw frame buffer' in the graphics options.

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
If they work on Windows, they likely work on iOS and Android.

The only difference is JIT might work on Windows (within the emu) because Windows doesn't need to flush cache.

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
I still get crashes with a bunch of homebrew on iOS. PPSSPP force quits as soon as the homebrew is launched.

RE: PSP - homebrew emulators 2
Remember to put homebrew folders under Memstick\PSP\GAME just like you would on the real PSP. Otherwise they can't find their files.

@xsacha Actually not quite: CaSTaway works on OSX/Win but not on iOS

@BubblegumBalloon thanks for the tip for UAE, works now (with the screen refresh caveats mentionned previously)

iOS may have a bug with homebrew right now that causes it to crash.
The game will work on Android though, unless it uses JIT.
