Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness

Hey all. I've been attempting to play Disgaea; Afternoon of Darkness on the PPSSPP ( 0.9.7.2 ) on both my Samsung Note 2 and Samsung Note 3.

The first room the main character is sleeping in runs and transitions perfectly, as well as the transitioning into the throne room and the main lobby. But the game only works in the first three rooms. Once the transition between the rooms begins, it's supposed to say "Now Loading", but instead says "PPSSPP has stopped working".

Does anyone else have this issue on the Android platform? Is it my phones? The build I'm using? Please advise.
