Enabling/using music/Atrac3+ Crashes my game

i've been doing experiments on the reason why my game has been crashing, enabling full screen, turning off sound, standard/alternative speed, and the only thing that i noticed that was crashing my game is when i would enable Atrac3+. When i enable Atrac3+, the sound is quite choppy, which i don't mind, but after a couple of minutes playing, it crashes and gives me an error. I re-downloaded Atrac3+ but that did not fix the problem.

Any ideas on what i can do to get the music to work? Playing Tales of the world: RM 3 without music is still good enough for me, but it doesn't have to be this way
