sta3xx: First off, why are you using a really old version of the emulator for this game? 0.9.6.2 isn't the latest release, and MH3rd works fine on Windows with 0.9.7.2 and its latest git builds. I know newer releases aren't always better for some games, but the MH series is pretty much always fine with new releases. Your PC should be more than capable of playing the game at a proper framerate (just see Solarmystic's laptop, he can run it perfectly on a Core 2 Duo with an ancient ATI card). What settings are you using? I'm using default settings with v0.9.7.2-110-g0569681 and have never seen framerate bugs like this (except for using the CPU speed hack improperly, and a long time ago when the game was first booting and had framerate issues, around the time of the build you're using...). If you're using the CPU speed hack, try turning it off (e.g. back to zero).
