If a guide tells you to use Winrar, stop reading/watching as it'll probably just get worse over time and tell you to use game breaking settings. If you're a total noob and use Windows, start by downloading installer version from official download page, install it, run PPSSPP and drag and drop game ISO inside PPSSPP window. You might also want to map your gamepad/keyboard under control settings and that's it. Best settings are default ones, don't trust anyone telling you otherwise as most guides out there are basically ruining the experience by activating a bunch of speedhacks only useful for potato hardware or activating graphics enhancements way above what would make a difference other than stutter or slowdowns.

Take note that you need to own PSP with CFW to dump games for use with PPSSPP, piracy isn't supported and a lot of warez PSP games are broken copies made on very old firmware.
