The game I'm thinking of looked more like Lord of Arcana, except that it's not that game. Originally I thought it was, but after watching a video of it, it doesn't match what I remember. All the battles in LoA take place in open arenas surrounded by an invisible wall. In the game I'm looking for, all the battles took place in an actual room. It's not the remake, Lord of Apocalypse either.

It's also not any of the Monster Hunter or God Eater games, although they do have a somewhat similar style.

So think Lord of Arcana, but in an actual round room rather than big open arenas.
